sarah laing's comics workshop

Sarah Laing gave a comic and zine workshop at Wellington City Library on May 2, as part of the library's popular annual Comicfest.

Indira Neville and Rae Joyce arrived just as the workshop was ending, but we managed to sneak a few photographs.

As you can see, the event was a total success, and there was even a cosplay competition at the end!

coco solid essay

 Indira Neville put together this analysis of the percentage of women featured in recent Aotearoa comics anthologies.

Three Words contributor Coco Solid has written an essay inspired by the Three Words panel discussion at Wellington City Libraries Comicfest2015. She states in her inimitable style why Three Words is necessary, why it's now. She just inspired us right back!

Three Words is going to Wellington City Libraries Comicfest 2015!

On Saturday May 2, Sarah Laing will be running an interactive Comics 101 workshop for all ages, from 10 - 11.30 am.

Then, at 1 - 2pm, Sarah will be joined by Indira Neville and Rae Joyce for a panel discussion about the genesis of Three Words, moderated by Matt Emery.
