This is a friendly
reminder that your first submission for Three Words, our anthology of NZ
women’s comics, is due by 31st October.
To reiterate, at this
stage we’re asking for up to three pages of comics. These can be
existing or new works, black and white or colour, one long story, several short
strips, or single-panel images. The files need to be jpgs, tiffs or pdfs,
at 300dpi and A4 size (210mm x 297mm). You also need to let us know if and
where your submission has appeared previously, in print or online.

We will let you know
by 10 November if your submission has been successful, and the process for next
steps.
Feedback to the idea
for this NZ women’s anthology has been overwhelmingly positive, with
recognition from within the comic, arts and literary sectors that Three Words
is an important and necessary book.
We do you need your
comics to make it happen however and encourage you to submit!
If you have issues
with the timeframe, or any other aspect of the project, please contact us (at
the same email address) and we’ll endeavour to work these through. Also, do not
be shy about submitting existing works. We are very keen to showcase the
amazing but little seen history of NZ women’s comics in the book.
